Beauty Manufacturing Solutions Corp, which was founded in 1922 under the name Superior Products, develops and manufactures beauty, personal and baby care products for brands such as L'Oreal, Mary Kay, and Johnson & Johnson.
The Fort Worth City Council in Texas approved a 10-year tax abatement of up to 70% of Beauty Corp’s real and business personal property, which would be capped at $2 million, according to a Nov. 16 press release. The cap would increase to $3.5 million if the company invests a minimum of $90 million by December 2028.
In addition to 10-year tax abatement, Beauty Manufacturing Solutions Corp –a minority-owned business– will be required to spend 15% of construction costs with minority-owned businesses. If the company fails to meet the requirements, the grant could be reduced by 10%.
“[Beauty Manufacturing Solutions Corp] is fortunate to partner with the City of Fort Worth for this ambitious new expansion that will create a new standard in personal care contract manufacturing,” Peter Song, CEO of Beauty Manufacturing Solutions Corp., said in the Nov. 30 press release. “This site will merge new technologies in manufacturing along with the supporting infrastructure and ambitions from the city and our company.”
The 445,870-square-foot facility will be located at Alliance Texas’s industrial sector, Alliance Gateway, which was developed for large-scale distribution, manufacturing and industrial users, according to the website. The development is owned by Hillwood, a company founded by the late Ross Perot in 1988, according to the company’s website.
Alliance Gateway sector spans approximately 2,400 acres and houses various manufacturing and distribution sites, including paint company Behr and FedEx Supply Chain.
