It’s been a banner year for manufacturing investment in the U.S.
Companies from around the globe have flocked to the U.S. to set up new facilities and take advantage of lucrative federal tax credits, loans and grants from the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
In just the first 12 months after the passage of the IRA, 39 states saw more than $86 billion in manufacturing project investments. Projects span sectors, with billions of dollars poured into clean energy manufacturing projects including batteries, EVs and solar panels, while emerging technologies like semiconductors and components also saw major project announcements.
